Landmark 2007 Grand Detour Pinot Noir

This is one of the famed American wine. Clearly differ from French. The rich taste came from full of sun in the Sonoma, fertile soil. Therefore, it is sweet. A bit difficult to go with my drilled pork with Kyoto leak sauce. Got to try w/ some other sauce.

I heard this wine is specially created for Japanese customers.
Nicely scented right after opened, but drink it within 30 minutes.
The quality became poor after that.

Quite strong sparks coming out from the bottom. Very pleasant to have this kind of sparking wine in sticky Japanese weather. I had it with Hamo fish. Very good.

The wine was a bit over the peak, yet, it still had strong flavour of black berries.
Yakitori was not so good choice for this.

Gris de Koshu 2008

Hamo fish, those are mostly available in Kansai area, i.e. Kyoto, Kobe area. Tom found it in a department store today, so he bought it. Good in summer period with Umeboshi soup.

Jeffelin 2006 Puligny-Montrachet

I have been to Tsukiji, the fish market in Tokyo today.

Nice Hamaguri (clamshells) was best matching with the Puligny-Montrachet which we bought at the Costco. Light taste and aroma is just suitable for a simple meals.
